2010 Moose Hunt Applications available

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 6TH!!!
We would like to remind all potential applicants of the amendment to the 1854 Code that was approved last fall and will be in full affect in 2010.
1854 Code: Section VI, Subd. 16 (addition to section VI - Big Game Moose)
(G) No Band member shall permit a non-Band member or a Band member who does not possess a permit required by subdivision 5 of this section to assist or participate in taking of moose. See Section II, subd. 69, for the definition of taking.
What does this mean practically? Only those legally licensed to take moose are allowed to be involved in the hunt in any way at all. Once the hunt has ended (animal is down), outside assistance to remove the animal is allowed.
